After finally dealing with the demon still loose in Chinatown, all clues and strange portents lead the investigators to believe they should go to Devil’s Gulch, Colorado, though they are unsure why.  On the way, they pass through the town of Hilton Springs in southern Nevada, where something is wrong.

On April 1, 2018, the Down Darker Trails campaign, taking place in the American West, continued with the original scenario “Spring in San Francisco” and the Deadlands Dime Novel Scenario “Worms!” by John Goff.  Players were Ambralyn, John, Yorie, and Austin.

The Cresent is being transported north from Los Angeles to San Francisco via train: the Sequoyah Star.  The investigators are tagging along to both try to keep an eye on it and in the hopes of possibly dealing with it in some way.  Professor Terwilliger is also aboard the train, but things eventually take a turn for the worse.

A strange object has been unearthed near the town of Yellow Flats, Arizona.  There are also rumors of John Valentine’s lieutenant Dan McGoohan being in the area.  When a strange drifter comes to town, things go from bad to worse.
