Masks of Nyarlathotep Intro

New York, New York January 14th, 1925. A strange telegram sends investigators through Harlem, Harvard, and horror.

This is the first game of my attempt to run The Complete Masks of Nyarlathotep. I was trying to wait for the re-release but Chaosium is taking their time. I’m sure it will be epic. Buy it.

Also check out The Gaming Grunts, a source of inspiration.

There is a snazzy intro song, performed by Rev. Hollis Brown and Tex Huston, to set the mood. This is more pulp and flash, and the sessions quickly go pear shaped. I hope you enjoy our rendition of this classic Call of Cthulhu campaign.

I'm a beautiful person and if I'm ever in a recorded game you may hear me smoking my pipe. I play a variety of games. My favorite moments in games are when the players come up with crazy plans that spiral beyond their control and evolve into violent shit storms. Recently got the band back together for some one-shot action.

You know it’s a Call of Cthulu game when someone loses a hand in the first encounter of the first session.

I think I would have appreciated the mood music more if it were shorter.

Looking back on these after listening to the first 18, I can’t recommend this campaign and this particular set of recordings highly enough. Terrific Call of Cthulhu action, hilarious player logic, and a sardonic GM make for a great listen.

“He looks like a bat with a hat on!”
    Keep up the awesome recordings!

Thanks SageNytell and crash2455, I’ll be sure to send some shoutouts your way.
The group is pretty jazzed about having people who listen and comment.
    Thanks for your interest!
