Call of Cthulhu – Supped Full with Horrors Part 2

It’s 1613 A.D. and a stagehand has gone missing from the Globe Theater and his wife has demanded his fellow actors find him. The trail leads from the Mermaid Inne to Islington and back again, but why was the man taken away and what secrets does the Globe hold that he was also investigating?

Over the summer, I usually run scenarios for Call of Cthulhu in different time periods and this summer proved no exception. This time, I ran the original scenario Supped Full with Horrors, continuing one character from The Pirates of Candle Cove two years ago and two others from last year’s Elizabethan game The King of Shreds and Patches. We played on Sunday, June 25, 2017 but the recording was accidently turned off so his audio is cut into two parts. My players were Helen, Ambralyn, Kyle, Ashton, and Collin.

Call of Cthulhu – The King of Shreds and Patches Session Two

Learning of a threat to William Shakespeare’s life, the men who had been investigating the strange events in London in the winter of 1603 delve ever deeper into the terrors that are plaguing that fair city. They soon find they are not dealing with just one man but an entire cult. Consulting with Dr. John Dee helps them somewhat, but they might be the only thing that stands in the way of Hastur being summoned into the city.

Over the summer, I usually run scenarios for Call of Cthulhu in different time periods and this summer proved no exception. This summer, I ran The King of Shreds and Patches by Justin Hynes from Strange Aeons, continuing one character from last summer’s The Pirates of Candle Cove game. We played the second session on Sunday, June 5, 2016. My players were Kyle, Katie, James, and Collin.

Call of Cthulhu – The King of Shreds and Patches Session One

In the winter of the year 1603, the plague is stalking London with a vengeance. When a playwright friend of the former actor Vincent Hawksworth turns up dead and the friend of the love of Octavian Skern asks him to look for a friend, the two incidents seem related. A great conspiracy is afoot and only an actor, a printer, a criminal, a doctor, and a banker are willing to try to stop it.

We played this first session on Sunday, May 22, 2016. My players were Kyle, Katie, James, Ashton, and Collin.

Call of Cthulhu Providence Campaign 17 – The Play’s the Thing: The Pirates of Candle Cove

In London in the summer of the year 1600, a new play has come to the Globe Theatre: “The Pirates of Candle Cove.” But strange things soon start happening. Can an actor, a stage hand, and a musician stop the play or will Candle Cove unfold?

I started running a Call of Cthulhu campaign for students at Appalachian State University in March 2014. The game was set in Providence, R.I., starting in the summer of 1925. The seventeenth session of the game took place on July 5, 2015, with the original scenario “The Play’s the Thing: The Pirates of Candle Cove.” While not technically in Providence or with the Providence group, this interim game has connections with the campaign game that will soon be revealed. My players were Nissa, Kyle, and Hannah.
