In late spring of 1928, when Boston attorney Daniel Fuller receives a letter from William Abington asking him to look into strange events happening at a piece of property he owns in North Carolina, he takes on the investigation himself. Enlisting the aid of Bill McAfee, a uniformed Boston police officer, he heads to North Carolina. The two men are soon joined by a friend of McAfee’s Nurse Nancy Brannigan. The three find more than they bargained for.
This game was originally run at MACE 2011 in High Point, NC, on November 12, 2011. It started with just one player (Daniel Fuller) so I added an npc to help him along. Luckily, a second player showed up halfway through the game. The Wizard of Wilson Creek is the third scenario in The Phantom of Wilson Creek, a monograph I wrote that was recently published by Chaosium.
