In June of 1925, a young woman is asked to talk to an old boyfriend who has apparently gone mad. She takes a gentlemen she knows from her apartment building for safety. They soon find that the old flame is terribly more than he seems.

I started running a Call of Cthulhu campaign for students at Appalachian State University in March 2014. The game was set in Providence, R.I., starting in the summer of 1925. This first session of the game took place on March 2, 2014, with the scenario “The Case” from Curse of Cthulhu. My players were Caitlin and John, who had never played a tabletop rpg before.
