Call of Cthulhu Providence Campaign 35 – Rise of the Sleeper Session Three

Though the leader of the terrible cult, Crawford Slater, has been killed, as have the terrible things in his house. Something still stirs in New Dunwich. Can the investigators hold out until help arrives, or will they fall for a trap and be destroyed?

I started running a Call of Cthulhu campaign for students at Appalachian State University in March 2014. The game was set in Providence, R.I., starting in the summer of 1925. The 33rd session of the game took place on October 1, 2016, with the scenario “Rise of the Sleeper” by Scott David Aniolowski from Lurking Fears. My players were Katelyn, Collin, and Ashton.

Call of Cthulhu Providence Campaign 31 – The Strange Case of the Brown Mountain Lights Session One

When William Avery Rockefeller goes to Morganton, North Carolina, with some friends and associates in order to finish a deal to purchase a hosiery mill, he doesn’t suspect he’ll get caught up in another missing children’s case. This time an idiot-savant child has gone missing during vacation at Brown Mountain Beach and the investigators quickly help with the search effort for the boy. Instead, they find something strange under the mountain.

Call of Cthulhu – Forbidden Cargo

Port Royal, Jamaica, in April of 1667 was rife with the rumor of a Spanish treasure ship setting sail from Panama with a load of gold, bound for Spain. The crew of the Sweet Vengeance decided it was time to set sail again – this time to pirate themselves some Spanish gold. Unfortunately, others had the same idea and the terrible adventure would lead them to an uncharted island past the Bahamas, a lost city, and the horror that lay beneath it.

Over the summer, I usually run scenarios for Call of Cthulhu in different time periods and this summer proved no exception. This summer, I ran the original scenario Forbidden Cargo. We played the single session on Sunday, July 10, 2016. My players were Ashton and Collin.
