Call of Cthulhu – The Iron-Banded Box Part 1c

It was a time of civil war in Japan known as the Sengoku or “warring states” Period.  Since the Onin War (1467-1478), the razing of Kyoto, and the subsequent weak rule of the Azuchi military rulers, all social order in the county had fallen into complete anarchy.  In the summer of 1529 A.D., three ronin, recently made masterless when their own master was killed, search for honor and, instead, find terror and horror.

Over the summer, I usually run scenarios for Call of Cthulhu in different time periods and this summer proved no exception.  Some players wanted to try feudal Japan so, this year, I ran scenario “The Iron-Banded Box” by Michael Dziensinski from Strange Aeons II.  We played on June 24, 2018.  My players were Kyle, John, and Ben.  This entire game was played on June 24, but the recorder shut off so I had to pull audio from the video recordings. This is the third and last of the transferred videos.

Cthulhu Dark Ages – The Dragon and the Wolf

In the year 1000 AD, the church predicted the Millennium of Christ would bring about the beginning of Armageddon.  In the village of Wroxeter, tales of disappearances and a phantom Black Wolf had reached the Count of Shropshire.  Two men volunteered to try to deal with the black wolf.  They found there were other dangers in Wroxeter as well.

Over the summer, I usually run scenarios for Call of Cthulhu in different time periods and this summer proved no exception.  This year, I ran “The Dragon and the Wolf” by John W. Thompson from The Bride of Halloween Horror monograph.  We played on May 20, 2018.  My players were Nick and John.
