Two weeks ago, I ran Sucrose Park for a couple friends in Chicago. Due to a sudden and unexpected time constraint, we had to turn this into a two-session game. I didn’t have my recording equipment (pronounced “webcam”), but it was pretty sweet, so I brought my mic to record the final session.
This session includes the Brain Trust Dungeon Crawl and Robbie Drake, both of which were not seen in RPPR’s playtest. I believe the entire scenario played for around 6 or 7 hours across both sessions.
Last session:
- First Playthrough of Sandy’s Hotel – The kids did not turn in John Walken, but their inaction caused him to get taken by the MIB. They got into it and ended up investigating for another 30 minutes
- Sucrose Park Exterior – The Kids went to 3D Battle Realms, Coolcade, and the Gift Shop. They went back to 3D Battle Realms for the Tournament of Champions and got captured by the Grab Team (knockout gas).
- Cliques – Johnny Happenstance joined the Ninjas and Panic joined the Wizards
- Brain Trust – The kids asked it a lot of unimportant questions and saw Project Doppleganger in action.
- Riots – The kids tried to lead the cliques against one another without much success, and were captured and interred by Ratchet for causing them.
Players:
Rob Williams
- Johnny Happenstance – A kid from the mean streets of Toledo, OH.
- Bobogargorgotron – An excitable monster with the body and arms of a gorilla, the legs of a raptor, and the wings of an eagle. Also has laser vision and telekinesis.
Mike Correa
- Montonillo “Panic” Dominguez – A proud member of the Urban Adventurers.
- Eisenstein – A 4-legged monster that can change forms at will.
