Call of Cthulhu Providence Campaign 2 – The Case Session 2

After finding the terrible thing in the hidden laboratory, Mary-Jane Holland and John McKeefe know they must do something about the wizard Douglas Timmons. Unfortunately, he’s been released from the sanitarium on Miss Holland’s suggestion! They are determined the track down and stop the horrible creature.

I started running a Call of Cthulhu campaign for students at Appalachian State University in March 2014. The game was set in Providence, R.I., starting in the summer of 1925. The second session of the game took place on March 11, 2014, with the scenario “The Case” from Curse of Cthulhu. My players were Caitlin and John, who had never played a tabletop rpg before.

The role playing journals for the session can be found here:

Call of Cthulhu Providence Campaign 1 – The Case Session 1

In June of 1925, a young woman is asked to talk to an old boyfriend who has apparently gone mad. She takes a gentlemen she knows from her apartment building for safety. They soon find that the old flame is terribly more than he seems.

Call of Cthulhu Campaign (High Point, NC) – Restless Dreams Part 5

I ran a short Call of Cthulhu 1920s campaign for some friends in High Point, North Carolina, back in 2012. The campaign started in Arkham, Massachusetts, but quickly moved to Silent Hill, Maine. Unfortunately, the campaign ended due to lack of interest in the players and was never completed.

The seventh and last session of the campaign continues the original scenario “Restless Dreams,” my adaption of Silent Hill II to Call of Cthulhu. This session sees the investigators exploring Brookhaven Hospital before being sucked into a deeper level of Silent Hill.

This game took place on July 19, 2012. My players were Jeff, Ken, Steve, and Erik.
