Call of Cthulhu Providence Campaign 38 – Dark Carnival Session Two

With a missing child, a mauled madman, and a missing woman all near the North Star Amusement Arcade and Pleasure Pier, our intrepid investigators head back to the park in the hope of finding something … anything.

I started running a Call of Cthulhu campaign for students at Appalachian State University in March 2014. The game was set in Providence, R.I., starting in the summer of 1925. The 38th session of the game took place on January 29, 2017, with the scenario “Dark Carvinal” by David A. Hargrave from Curse of the Chthonians. My players were Kyle, Ambralyn, Collin, Ben, Ashton, Katelyn, Hannah, and Camilla.

Call of Cthulhu Providence Campaign 37 – Dark Carnival Session One

A man was mauled and a woman goes missing in Swan Point Cemetery near the North Star Amusement Arcade and Pleasure Pier in the May of 1928. Such strange occurrence so close to Providence prompt our investigators to look into the carnival. Will they discover what happened?

Call of Cthulhu Providence Campaign 36 – Nightmare in the Moonlight

When a psychiatrist from Dexter Asylum asks for help in a strange case of automatic writing, who are our intrepid investigators to turn him down. They go searching for the man having a nightmare in the moonlight.

I started running a Call of Cthulhu campaign for students at Appalachian State University in March 2014. The game was set in Providence, R.I., starting in the summer of 1925. The 36th session of the game took place on November 13, 2016, with the scenario original scenario “Nightmare in the Moonlight” based on “The Thing in the Moonlight” by J. Chapman Miske. My players were Katelyn, Collin, Ashton, Hannah, James, and Ben.

Advanced Dungeons and Dragons – Redcap’s Rampage Session One

Having finally escaped the orcs, the group of adventurers find themselves in a village beset by a terrible curse that has already killed three people. Can they learn the secret of the village of Luskwald and end the terrible curse?

On Sunday, October 16, 2016, I continued the AD&D campaign for friends in the Boone, N.C., area started in June 2016. We started “Redcap’s Rampage” by Christopher Perkins from Dungeon Adventures #54. My players were Kyle, Adam, Collin, Ashton, Hannah, and Aaron.

Call of Cthulhu Providence Campaign 35 – Rise of the Sleeper Session Three

Though the leader of the terrible cult, Crawford Slater, has been killed, as have the terrible things in his house. Something still stirs in New Dunwich. Can the investigators hold out until help arrives, or will they fall for a trap and be destroyed?
