Call of Cthulhu – The Phantom of Wilson Creek – The House on Yellow Buck Mountain

In the summer of 1925, several Bostonians arrived in Lenoir, NC, in answer to an inheritance received by one of them.  Dr. Joseph Abington, Professor of Anthropology at Boston University was the man who had inherited a house from a cousin he didn’t know existed.  With him were his accountant, Alexander Reed, and Mr. Reed’s Secretary, Mary Weatherly.  He’d also brought his friend Dr. Frederick Mann, a physician in Boston, and his graduate assistant, Christopher “Chip” Nelson.  They would find more than they bargained for in that old house.

This game was originally run at MACE 2009 in High Point, NC, on November 6, 2009.  It is the first scenario in The Phantom of Wilson Creek, a monograph I wrote that was recently published by Chaosium.  The original name of the scenario was simply “The Inheritance” and the role playing journals of the events here can be found at:
